Fears & Anxiety

We are born with only two innate fears: the fear of falling and the fear of loud sounds. Most fear is learned, and based in past events. Of course, sometimes our fear response is very helpful, as it is our natural protective mechanism.

But often times, our fears are irrational, and they don’t serve us, and in fact they prevent us from being, doing, or having what we want in life. They are often based on false thoughts, like doubts about self worth.

You may also have a wonderful imagination, and you envision scenarios of disaster when thinking about yourself in certain future situations. This creates anxiety, and can lead to panic attacks.

Let’s work together to free yourself from these fears or anxiety that are holding you back from experiencing all the joy you deserve in life!

Phobias

You’ve tried willpower and you’ve lived with avoidance. You’re probably frustrated that you haven’t been able to overcome your phobia with your intellect.

Hypnosis gets to the root of your phobia, which lies in your subconscious mind. It allows you to unlearn, and neutralize, the conditioned emotional response, so that you are calm and relaxed the next time you are exposed to your trigger. For some people, this can be done in a matter of a few sessions!

“For a couple of years, ever since I was 14, I was terrified of spiders, especially wolf spiders, and would panic, scream, and run away at the sight of one. It was impeding on my quality of life, and they were always on my mind, using up my focus and concentration. I even had unsettling nightmares about them almost every week. After my work with Laura, I am now able to capture large wolf spiders and put them outside! I am no longer scared of spiders! Thank you, Laura!”
