Injury Massage with L&I or PIP Insurance in Bellingham, WA

L&I Injury Treatment Massage

If you’ve been injured at work and have an open L&I (Workers’ Compensation) claim, massage therapy can be an important part of your recovery.

I provide treatment focused on reducing pain, improving mobility, and supporting your body as it heals from injury. Each session is tailored to your specific condition and where you are in the recovery process.

With over 30 years of experience treating a wide range of injuries, I work with care, attention, and respect for your body and nervous system.

What You’ll Need Before Your First Appointment

To begin treatment, please have the following:

  • An open Labor & Industries claim with date of injury

  • A valid L&I claim number

  • A referral for massage therapy from your attending provider (a doctor or chiropractor). You are automatically authorized for 6 massages. If further treatment is required, we can request authorization for up to 2 more sets of 6 massages.

PIP Injury Treatment Massage

Many people feel surprisingly "okay" immediately after a car accident due to the body's release of adrenaline and other stress hormones.

However, pain, stiffness, headaches, and other symptoms often emerge hours or even days later. Massage therapy can play a valuable role in recovery by reducing pain, decreasing muscle tension, improving circulation, restoring mobility, calming the nervous system, and helping prevent short-term injuries from becoming long-term problems.

Early treatment often leads to better outcomes and a faster return to normal activities.

What you’ll need before your first appointment:

  • Doctor’s Prescription/Referral: A written prescription from an authorized healthcare provider (such as an MD, DO, or Chiropractor). It must include a diagnosis, ICD-10 codes for your injuries, the prescribed frequency of sessions, and the total number of visits authorized.

  • Claim Information: Your auto insurance policy number, the date of the accident, and your specific auto accident claim number.

  • Active PIP Coverage: Confirmation that your auto insurance policy includes PIP coverage.
