L&I Injury Massage

If you’ve been injured at work and have an open L&I (Workers’ Compensation) claim, massage therapy can be an important part of your recovery.

I provide treatment focused on reducing pain, improving mobility, and supporting your body as it heals from injury. Each session is tailored to your specific condition and where you are in the recovery process.

With over 30 years of experience treating a wide range of injuries, I work with care, attention, and respect for your body and nervous system.

What You’ll Need Before Your First Appointment

To begin treatment, please have the following:

  • An open Labor & Industries claim with date of injury

  • A valid L&I claim number

  • A referral for massage therapy from your attending provider (a doctor or chiropractor). You don’t need prior authorization from the state for your first set of 6 massages. If further treatment is required, we can request authorization for up to 2 more sets of 6 massages.

Conditions I Commonly Treat

Over the past 30+ years, I’ve provided more than 15,000 massage sessions, working with a wide range of injuries - including many related to workplace accidents and repetitive strain.

I’ve worked with individuals recovering from acute injuries as well as those dealing with longer-term pain patterns that develop over time.

Below are some of the more common conditions I treat in L&I cases:

  • Neck, back, and shoulder injuries

  • Whiplash

  • Rotator cuff injuries and frozen shoulder

  • Thoracic outlet syndrome

  • Tennis elbow and repetitive strain injuries

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Forearm, wrist, and hand pain

  • Low back pain and sciatica

  • Hip, leg, knee, ankle, and foot injuries

  • Muscle strains and ligament sprains

  • Plantar fasciitis

I also work with the secondary effects that often come with injury, such as:

  • Chronic pain patterns

  • Tension headaches and migraines

  • Stress and nervous system dysregulation related to injury

  • Sleep disruption

If you don’t see your specific condition listed, feel free to reach out. There’s a good chance I’ve worked with something similar.
